Feeling the breeze and watching the waves restores and renews. The elements in this collection are from the Outer Banks, North Carolina, Jekyll Island, Georgia, and Jose Ignacio, Uruguay. Some senses captured are the movement of the sand and water, seashell bundles washed ashore, breezy palm trees and beaming lighthouses. I hope this collection makes you feel as if you were enjoying your favorite beach.
Living in Iceland, I came to love the colors of the stark lava rocks, moss, and beautiful sunsets. Black birds were often seen outside of my kitchen window, and a favorite was visiting the bunnies in an enchanted forest. In this collection, you will find representations of lava rocks, bunnies, birds, lupine, buttercups and crocuses.
One of the first things I sketched in Uruguay was this pineapple. Since, it has come to mean even more, reminding me of home and it's representation of warm welcomes and southern hospitality. Little things around your home can mean so much!
